Located in the borders of Adrasan, Adrasan Castle, also known as Maiden Castle, is a historical structure worth seeing. After the Turks conquered Alanya, they established a province of Iğdır centered on Adrasan. The Üçok Branch of the Iğdır tribe of the Oghuz settled here and they built the Maiden’s Castle to the north of the Adrasan Harbor and the Oglan Castle to the back of the Çakmak District. These two castles were built for defense purposes and today the Maiden’s Castle is 30 meters above the Adrasan Castle.
